***I'm not too up-to-date on the details, but I know Betrothal among Nobles was very popular in Victorian England, in an attempt to keep their line pure, they would also get betrothed to cousins or relatives, thus causing mutations and birth defects.
The only reason Rai's mother and father married was because his mother was also of noble blood.
Rai is betrothed to his cousin Dominique.
I'm pretty positive that marriage between relatives is illegal, even among nobles in England, but for the sake of the roleplay he's in, I've bent the rules.
Poor Rai ... Seems the only one in his family who will ever accept him is YoungSook. :c In case you don't understand, by the end of the fiction, Rai's boarded a plane to go back to Japan to stay with Saeki and his family, as his parents disowned him and kicked him out. He had to take everything, and will have to find a place to live on his own.
